Our Junior B hurlers continued their good start to the league with a 3.16 to 1.7 win over Solohead. We are due to play the next round on Arravale this week also.
We drew with Cashel KC on Saturday evening in Anacarty in the Intermediate football county championship on a scoreline of 1.9 to 12 points.
All roads lead to Cappawhite this Sunday for the West Senior hurling championship final v Anacarty. The game throws in at 3pm. Best of luck to the team and management as we look to secure our 9th west title in 11 years.

Weekly News

Our Senior hurlers began our championship campaign with a 6 point win over Mullinahone in Bansha on Sunday last  in difficult conditions. The final score was 1.14 to 11 points. The remaining county championship fixtures against Nenagh and Roscrea will not be played until after the inter county season.
In a novel event for April, we will contest the West Senior Championship Final against Eire Og on Sunday week April 29th in Cappawhite at 3.30.
Our Junior B hurlers got their year underway with a 2.17 to 1.12 win over Sean Treacys in the league last Friday in Clonoulty. We are due to play Solohead this coming Tuesday.
Tickets will be on sale or the 2018 West’s Awake Music Festival in the coming weeks.

Our senior hurlers begin their championship campaign on Sunday next
vs Mullinahone in Cashel at 2pm. Best of luck to all involved.
Dog fouling: there have been repeated incidents of dog fouling on our
grounds. This is a very serious issue with children using our
facilities. There is strictly no dogs allowed on the grass. Also, the
dog warden has been notified in relation to stray dogs. If these
problem persists, we will be left with no option but to ban dogs
Preperations are well underway for the 2018 West’s Awake Festival
which will take place this year on Sunday June 3rd. Husdon Taylor will
headline the event, ably supported by Rebel Hearts, Seskin Lane, Wig
Wam Glam Band & Papa Zita’s. We look forward to all our  members
support with this event over the coming weeks and months.

Hudson Taylor to headline West’s Awake 2018

We are please to announce that the West’s Awake Music Festival 2018 will take place on June 3rd (Bank Holiday Sunday). Hudson Taylor will headline the event, ably supported by Rebel Hearts, Papa Zitas among other. Tickets will go on sale soon on our website and in many local retail outlets. Full details to follow.

Senior Hurling Championship 2018

Our senior hurlers begin their county Championshiop campaign on Sunday April 15th at 2pm in Cashel v Mullinahone. This game was originally due to take place on Sunday April 8th. This was rescheduled due to the re fixing of the National league final and Tipperary qualifying for the final.

Best of luck to to the Senior & junior management team of John Devane, Paddy Bourke, Jason Forrestall and Andy O’Connor for the coming year and the large panel of players.

Seniors: Last weekend the girls beat Annacarty by 3 points.Next match Friday the 2nd of September versus Borrisoleigh in Clonoulty at 8 pm.
Juniors: The girls beat Ballingarry 3-9 to 2-7. Next match Friday the 2nd of September versus Silvermines in Dolla at 6.30 pm.
Minors: The girls played Holycross, no results at time of printing.
U12′s versus Boherlahan in a County Final in the Ragg on Thursday the 1st of September at 7.15 pm. Best of luck girls!

Juniors versus Ballingarry in Clonoulty on Sat 27th of August at 12.00 noon.
Minors: The girls had a good win against Ballingarry. Next match versus Holycross on Tues 30th of August. No venue fixed at time of printing.
U.14′s beat Cashel and Rockwell last week. Next match versus Cahir in Clonoulty on Wed 24th of August.
U12′s got walkover from Newport next match League semi-final on Sat 27th of Aug. No fixtures at time of printing.
